Just a very quick post. With the cold, we got hit by a prolonged power outage last week followed by several long days without water. Still waiting on the temperature to go up a bit before our water returns and I get a desperately, dearly needed shower, but until then we’re making do. Moth research dropped a few rungs on the priority list!
Anyway, the Carposinidae are known as the fruitworm moths. There’s a single species of Carposinidae in BC, Bondia crescentella. They’re primarily an Eastern species, flying early in the year around May. I saw a couple of them up in Fort St John this year. Interesting-looking moth.
